    New to Snakes

Hello all I've been browsing around the forums for a while and have decided to get my first snake only problem I can't decide what kind, I am divided between a Jungle x Coastal Carpet Python, a Grey Banded King Snake or a Corn Snake, I am not new to reptiles however I own a Bearded Dragon, Eastern Box Turtle, 2 Diamond Back Terrapins, a Gargoyle Gecko and a Leopard Gecko, so I know a decent amount about reptiles, what is the differances between those snakes and which one is better for a first time snake owner?

If this is your first snake start researching Corn Snakes, they are pretty well the best first time keepers snake. I would rule out Carpet Pythons, they can be tricky as young snakes and aggressive, plus their size can be harder to house. Kingsnake goes right with Corn as well. As long as you get from a trusted breeder like www.bhbreptiles.com you will have no problems with it. It will further come down to looks. What attracts you to the snakes. . . there are a LOT of color variations quite cheap when you look into Corn Snakes, there are also morphs that are fairly expensive (think in the upper hundreds to thousand mark in regards to scaleless corns). With Kingsnakes there are a decent amount of pattern variation, but not as much as the Corns. Kings can get slightly larger in bulk and length, but I'd still recommend going with what snake color theme fits your lifestyle.

    Cheers

I'd look into corns and kings too, they're pretty bomb proof (forgiving of mild husbandry errors) and great feeders.

I was totally planning on getting one from Bhb since they're only a half hour away from me, I was really liking the Moonstone Corn Snake, I thought they looked beautiful, but I also really liked the Grey banded due to the unique orange and grey pattern

I wouldn't limit yourself to just colubrids and other beginner snakes. You have several herps with a much greater degree of care difficulty than the majority of captive snake species.

Of those you listed i'd go with the carpet python, I loved my old one.
'Tics, burms, balls, and geckos. A bunch of them.
