How do you settle on just two when you want to catch them all? xD

Well, I decided to give up on keeping BP's in tanks, so I bought a rack xD. Of course, this means I have room for more babies! Luckily I only have room for two more, so I can't go too overboard.

I'm anxiously awaiting September 8th to attend my first reptile expo, and I'm planning on bringing home some goodies - that is if I can ever decide what to buy! I'm sure it will come down to some spur of the moment decision, but I can't stop obsessing over it. I don't exactly have much of a plan as far as future breeding goes, other than my het clowns, but it would be nice to have a little side project to occupy me until I can produce a clown and get it up to breeding weight.

I'm currently tempted by the idea of a killer bee, or possibly a lesser bee or butter bee. I'd really love to snatch up an axanthic, but it's probably smarter to get a couple co-dom animals instead of another het project, because if I end up combining these with my clowns later on, I really don't need to start out with a double het project xD.

Anyways, if anyone wants to toss out ideas for me as to what I should get (to breed to each other as well as combine with a clown project in the future, or just to start a second breeding project) then feel free.

I'm also planning on scooping up an anery BCI at the expo Very much looking forward to that.

First expos are always exciting =D

    Two questions:
What kind of budget do you have and what bp's do you already have?

Your signature only says a mojave. Just wondering if it's a mojave and a pair of het clowns?

I hadn't realized that I still had Lazy in my signature =/. He passed away a month ago.

We had a really bad city-wide flood back in May, and we - pets included- were stuck in the apartment for about a week after the flood before we could find a place to stay. We left Lazy with a friend, who also keeps bps, for about three weeks. He didn't eat in that time, but we pegged it on being in a new area and stress. It was about a week after we got him back that I realized he was sick. We made an appointment for the following week (nearest vet is about three hours away, and it was the only time I had access to a car), and the day before the appointment he passed away.

None of the bps owned by the friend who took care of him got sick, so we think he probably had mold in his lungs from the week we were stuck in the apartment. I miss the little guy a lot - he was my first snake. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue with ball pythons at all, I was thinking of maybe getting a corn snake instead ... but I really have fallen in love with bps and been bitten badly by the bug, and after talking with a few people have decided to try again.

So to answer your question, it will only be the het clowns. I don't quite have them yet, I actually just put in the final payment on them today, and they're being shipped to me next week. And my budget will probably hover around 700 dollars, maybe a 1000 if I'm feeling extremely impulsive.

I'm sorry to hear that... =(

Well with that budget you have a lot of options! If you wanted to stick with the clown project and aren't dying for 2 snakes you might be able to find a female pastel het clown. Those are hot! Not too sure on the price but probably around the higher end of your budget..

If you wanted two I would probably recommend another pair sense a male het clown to a morph or a combo will just give you baby normals and whatever morph the female was and all of them would be only 50% het clown...

I suggest a male pastave and a female pewter that's around your budget and it will produce come awesome offspring!

Hopefully this code thing from world of ball pythons works haha
