Baby Retic Wheezing, fearing the worst.....
Title says it, I went and picked up my baby Retic that we have had for a few months now and she is wheezing a little bit, I know this is typically a sign of RI, but I also know that large constrictors can be a little noisy in general. No other snakes in her rack are showing symptoms and this is the first I have seen of it. I know a vet visit would be best but currently funds are tight, does this sound normal at all for a baby Tic? I don't want her to get any worse if it is in fact an RI, but I don't want to pay for a vet bill if it isn't needed. Any advice besides the vet?

Just a note, I checked her again and she had a piece of substrate in her nose, I got it out so hopefully that was what was causing it. I'll keep an eye on her. On a side note, in one of Brian Barczyk's videos he mentions that you can use some diluted F10 to make a vapo chamber for ball pythons and that that can help kill of any RI that is forming. Has anyone tried this with Retics?

You have to watch retics they sometimes can sound as if they are getting an ri but usually it will be a piece of stuck shed or substrate with them.

I checked on her today and she was not wheezing, so I am guessing it was the substrate up the nose, I may switch her to newspaper if she is going to keep shoving wood in her face....
