Yes! There highly venomous don't ever touch them! Jk they are spurs the males use them for breeding purposes. They tickle the female into position using them. Both sexes of bps have them, and other species in the python genus have them at well.

In some species spurs can be a very accurate indicator of sex; ball pythons are not one of these species.
