    Surprise Shed

While checking on everyone this morning I saw my BCI had shed. It caught me by surprise because I never saw any eye caps and she didn't do any of her normal soaking like she usually does. It was an extremely good shed (not perfect but close) considering I never turned her humidity up. She was about do for a shed so it wasn't early. Just thought it was funny cause it fits her personality to be like, "Surprise! I shed!". Anyone else have any similar experiences where they've snuck a shed in on you like that?

    Re: Surprise Shed

Nope, no ninja sheds for me. But I usually have my snakes out a few times a week, and I am pretty nosey with them. I always check them over, just a general once over. And with my bps 99% of the time see the pink belly and know its coming. My boa on the other hand, was not as obvious when he went into shed. My first clue with him, was that he was in his hide for a couple days in a row. He doesn't usually go in his hide.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

I have all bps so its pretty easy to see when theyre going into she. I usually poke and prod everyone at least once or twice a week. If i have the time id do it everyday lol.

I only have the five snakes so they all get checked every day that was another part as to why it was so surprising. With her I've always seen the eye caps, but she doesn't seem to go blue like the bp, kingsnake, and BRB do. The JCP doesn't really seem to go blue either, just the eye caps.
