I Had One Died In The Egg (GRAPHIC Image)
So one egg from my 2nd clutch never stuck a head out. Last night we found no movement and decided to cut egg completely and dump the contents out to see what was going on. I won't even directly show the image. So just click the link below. This is from my mystery clutch so I don't know the sire. A pinstripe, some normals, and a real unusual one also came out ok. I'll post pics later in a separate thread but right now I want to figure out what this is. It is obviously very kinked and not fully developed. And to be honest, it was technically alive still since we saw it twitch a little and saw blood pumping in external areas. It died shortly after. Not sure if thisis a morph or just another result of the incomplete development. Any ideas are appreciated.

Well undeveloped could answer your question; BUT, as I stands now it looks pewterish or black pewterish

The same thing happened to me last year, a Cinnamon Calico died in the egg, just around 1 week before hatching Sucks, but it happens...

Looks like it may have been cool, what ever it was. I couldn't even see a head in there?? Sorry for your loss

There was only a partial lower jaw. I guess I'll never know what happened. I doubt the "cool" idea since all the other eggs in with it came out fine. It's had 88-89 the whole time. So unless a cool pot can form around just one egg I doubt that was it.

I think you're misinterpreting "cool" to mean cold. I read it as "neat". Sorry for your loss.

I had a baby die in the egg too! Mine was severely kinked and had a super skinny head. Looked more like a corn snake than a ball python.
Sorry for your loss.

I meant cool as in neat looking.
