We have a Sanyo VPC-E2100. Not exactly a high dollar camera, but it works great for us.

Canon 7D with the 17-40mm f/4 USM L lens. . . shouldn't this be in the photography section? And you can take good pictures with cheap cameras, everything in the world of photography comes down to light. If you blast your subject with artificial lighting, you can get great shots with a point and shoot as long as you know a little bit about the camera. If you have a good flash and OK glass, a cheaper DSLR will work wonders as well. I shoot photography on a regular basis though, so I have a lot of equipment on hand ;-). But for those who want to just take better pictures, I always advise on producing better light first!

Panasonic Lumix GF2 with a micro four-thirds lens. Love this camera. Small like a point and shoot but with DSLR quality.
