    Maternity tubs?

So I've been looking to switch to a breeding rack and a maternity rack instead of breeding and maternity in 1 tub. I have seen a lot of people that use the mouse tubs from Freedom Breeder and ARS as maternity tubs but screw paying $8-$10.00 per tub. I know others also use litter pans but I came across Vision's new V-15 tubs 18" x 5" x 3.5" tall. Is this too small for a single mother with her pups or think it would be fine?

It depends how many litters you plan on her watching at once. Sounds like plenty of room for one litter of 10-15 babies. they can have alot at once!

    Way too small IMO

Even the V18 tubs which I use for hatchling snakes would be too small

    Maybe for mice

    Re: Maternity tubs?

Reviving a dead post! =P What do people use for maternity tubs then? I have heard small litter pans but those seem small as well. Medium littler pans? I'm looking to build a maternity rack without it costing me an arm and a leg just for tubs alone. There's gotta be a better option than the $10.00 ARS and Freedom Breeder tubs...

I use 4$ 16 quart Sterillite tubs for maternity tubs. The mamas have enough room to move around without feeling too crowded.

We use 20qt sterilite tubs and I think it's the perfect size, unfortunately they no longer make them.
