Frozen Food Question
I have a quick question about frozen prey. My ball python has occasionally skipped a meal or two, nothing out of the norm.
I have been under the impression if the snake does not eat I should dispose of the meal. Is this really the case? I'm wondering if there is any downfall to re-freezing the mouse?

You can re-freeze the rodent once. After that the rodent should be thrown away.
Basically you need to use good judgment. If a rodent doesn't look good after refreezing don't feed it. The rodent is worth far less than the cost of a vet trip or the BP.

Agree 100%
I just cant really tell if a frozen mouse looks refreshing Out of the two I have disposed of so far, they have looked ok, but I just don't have the expertise to say accurately. Sounds like this is one of those things to be better safe than sorry and throw away?

Better safe than sorry is always a good policy.

I re-freeze meals only once. I rather throw a 2 dollar rat in the trash than going to the vet for the $100+ vet bill.
