Is this bad?
Just checked on Maia and she had left me a present. I've never seen snake guano look like this though and it smelled strange, different than any other BP poop I've smelled. Not sure how to describe it. There were a couple of drops of blood in her tub too. She had not shed, so it wasn't shed related. I couldn't find any cuts anywhere on her and it's been almost a week since she last ate.
I will be taking her to the vet within the next week but I thought I would check and see if anyone had any ideas?
Blood spots.
Odd droppings.
Even weirder egg-yolk looking droppings? This looked exactly like egg yolk.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are....

The egg looking stuff is called urates... Basically solid pee.
As for the poop, it could have been something he ate, or maybe even parasites. Have your vet do a fecal exam.

Huh I've yet to ever have the urates be so yellow, they've always been white or a very pale yellow or just very liquidy so this surprised me.
Thanks guys. This is the first "weird poop" we've seen from anyone. Maia has had healthy poops before so this kinda just popped up.
Will be having her checked out within the next week.

Re: Is this bad?
I would put those droppings in a ziplock for the vet. It maybe easy to find in them and hard to find in your snake what the problem is or was. It may be over but it would be nice to know what it was. Please update us.

How old is she? Is she breeding? I have noticed when my snakes are gravid their poo smells different and tends to take on different characteristics than normal. The only way I can describe the smell is that it reminds me of the egg smell after they have pipped/been cut.
