Also the Mortal Instruments series IS pretty good! Just read that one too.
Books were great, but the movie was not bad come on! I think the did a pretty good job with it. And to top it off katniss is all kinds of hot!

I loved the Stand too, have you read 'Salems Lot? Its a "vampire book" but its so well written, like all of his books, that it doesnt feel that way. Its probably my favorite King book.

No way, i eat that stuff up. I pretty much fall asleep reading it every nite and then dream of robot schematics.
In all seriousness though, as i got older i started disliking fantasy more and more. I still like fiction but it has to be realistic fiction or realistic sci fi if its set in the future. By realistic fiction i mean the Scarpetta novels or like most of Stephen Kings and Michael Crichtons stuff. I really have got to start reading again lol...

Re: Who is a reader?
Quite a few years back I read a bunch of Stephen King books. They were good. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the super fantasy stuff, seems kinda hard to get into some of it.

Some one knows that BR exists? The BR movie is one of my favorites, the sequel.... not so much

I used to read a lot more, but now I don't have time for it but I in the school year of 2011-2012 I read The Hunger Games series and The Maze Runner series by James Dashner. If you liked the Hunger Games, you'll like the Maze Runner series.

Semi-obscure awesome stuff:
1) James White's Sector General series. It's like 'House" without the hatred, drugs, and sarcasm, and with a lot more aliens.
2) Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin. Amazing prose. Deserved a ton more attention than it got. “The shelf was filled with books that were hard to read, that could devastate and remake one's soul, and that, when they were finished, had a kick like a mule.”
3) The Dracula Tapes by Fred Saberhagen (For the vamp fans--screamingly funny take on the Dracula story).
Did anyone else notice that Twilight is like a castrated version of Underworld?
