DIY wine fridge incubator, and first clutch (surprise!)

Whoops, Lois didn't do her pre-lay shed again this year and tricked me. I guess she didn't have another 2 weeks to go...

Good thing I got that craigslist wine fridge and started upgrading my incubator last weekend!

Another 4 big pearly ones from the hets that produced my lavender albino:

Congratulations. I had a first year breeding female do the same thing to me. Gave me 4 nice eggs one morning.

    What was the pairing?

It's a proven pair of het lavender albinos! Hopefully there will be another visual this year.

Breed, grow follicles, shed, go into glow, ovulate, shed, eggs.
How can they not throw a prelay shed, everything they do is in-between sheds.

    Congrats on the eggies

Maybe they forgot to read the manual? Mine ovulated, laid, then shed 2 days after laying. Odd, I know.

Yeah, Lois also missed the memo about pre-lay sheds. I have three other females who have ovulated and are doing the pre-lay shed right on schedule. But Lois does a pre-ovy shed and a post-lay shed instead.

And this is her second year in a row skipping it. So I guess that's just how she rolls.
