Who is a reader?
And what good books have you read lately? Always looking for a recommendation for a book to read.
For the ladies- Fifty Shades of Grey series... . I just got my nose out of those, loved them.

I have read some Stephen King in the past. Dean Koontz is good. I also like Patricia Cornwell, the Scarpetta series.

The dark tower series is my favorite series. My favorite author is Kathy Reichs, and my favorite book is When the Wind Blows by James Patterson.

I dont read much anymore but i used to read alot of stephen king and i read like 80% of the Scarpetta novels. I really should finish the scarpetta novels bc i really did enjoy them! My favorite King novels were 'Salems Lot and The Stand. I also have liked alot of Michael Crichton's stuff. Prey and Next were both awesome books. I loved the topic and highly recommend both of them. If your not into that kinda stuff then i wouldnt bother with it though so read read the back first or a brief online description. I was pissed when i found out he died, really sad bc he was fairly young.
Nowadays i do most reading on here or reading magazines like Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Reptiles, readers digest... thats about it.
If anyone has any reccomendations similar to anything i listed above^ then feel free to let me know!

I loved the dark tower series, its only second to the Malazan series which is one of those types that takes a bit getting into, the first book is VERY slow, but it is well worth it. Only tip is to not get attached to anyone =(. All of my animals are named after characters in the books
1.0 Spider Ball "Caladran Brood"
1.0 Pastel Ball "Pearl"
1.0 Normal Het Leopard Boa "Anomander"
1.0 Salmon Jungle DH Ghost Poss Super Salmon "Andarist"
0.1 Crested Gecko, "Venesara"

Neal Stephenson and George R. R. Martin are two of the best (fiction) authors out there IMO.
Be warned about Martin, however - if you get into the Song of Ice & Fire novels, you'll wind up angry, because he takes FOREVER to write the next one in the series.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!
