Idk they started out so small like corns or hoggies! (im assuming you dont have giant hands lol). Shes so cute. Idk whats the best thing to keep them on. Theyre called sand boas so logic would dictate sand to be ok, but i dont keep my bps on balls so who knows.

I don't personally own a sand boa so i can't say for sure, but I have heard a lot of people prefer to keep them on aspen. I really want to get one though! Nice pick up!

Lol I thought the same thing, sand boa...sand... They are super small as babies, and this one is at least a few months old, granted, I don't think she was fed enough since she is on the thin side, but she's small!

Yeah, doing more reading it looks like I should switch to aspen.

I have heard that sand is ok, I have heard that sand is the devil! I keep mine on/in aspen because nobody seems to have a problem with that!
Mine are both anerys, about the same length as yours. They are a bit pudgier though. Having anerys makes me want a normal! LOL!

Re: Sand boa question, might be getting one tonight
Congrats on the new addition. A while back, I was researching sand boas, and if I remember correctly, there are only two or three sand boa sub-species that are true sand dwellers. They are easy to recognize because their eyes are located on top of their head. The only one that I can recall is the Arabian Sand Boa. I do remember that most of the sites that I checked out recommended aspen as a good substrate for all others. But, if the sand works, then I see no problem with it.
