Quick Question Please: Normal Produced from Bumble 0.1 and Reg 1.0
Thanks for reviewing my post.
Quick question: I am interested in purchasing a female offspring that was born from a Bumblebee mother and a regular father..
What % het is this (regular colored physically) to be bumblebee/pastel/ and spider?
Could she be bred to a normal and produce (obviously small %) of bumblebees, pastels spiders and normals? Am I correct in assuming this?
What If she bred to say--a 100% physical spider or 100% physical pastel?
I appreciate you expaining this to me.

no het only happens with recessive morphs.
Spider and pastel are both co-dominate morphs. what this means is that they are either there or they are not.
There is 0% chance of producing a pastel, spider, or bee from a normal born from a bee.

The normal you will be getting will be just that a normal.
If you want to produce bees you will need a pastel and a spider.
Spider is dominant and Pastel is co-dominant.

Alright. I appreciate you both for your time..
So for instance on the other hand, If the baby was born to a 100% visible albino mother, and a 100% normal ball python, some of the babies would be "Het" for the "recessive albino" gene? All with the gene, only some visible ..
Is this correct? Works both ways for male and female? Same scenario with a 100% normal ball mother and 100% albino father?

Any animal hatched from Visual Recessive (Albino or Pied or Hypo etc) to Normal would be carrying the gene for that recessive trait and be known as Het or 100% Het (which is the same)
And if you were to breed a Het Albino to a Het Albino you would then have a 25% chance per egg to hatch an Albino and all the other normal looking offspring would be consider 66% Poss Het

All babies from the albino to normal pairing would be 100% het for albino. There will be no visual albinos produced all will look normal but carry one of the albino genes. so breeding a het albino to an albino half the clutch should be albino while the other half should be 100% het albino. Does that make sense?
Actually each egg has a 50% chance of being albino and a 50% chance of being het for albino...

Because this sometimes confuses people this means that by the numbers 2 out of every 3 normals produced carry the gene. So if you have 4 eggs it should look like this 1 albino 1 normal 2 het albinos.

Number of eggs does not matter you could hatch 4 albinos, or 4 normals or 4 hets.
With that pairing each egg has 25% to produce an albino, 25% chance to produce a normal or 50% chance to produce a het.
Since you cannot differentiate normal from het, all normal looking are call 66% Poss Het.

Alright-- Awesome. Thank you.. So 66% het could potentially mean that 2/3 of the babies actually carry the gene and 1 (you dont know which, correct?) would just be bunk with normal genes..
So you could gamble in buying a 66% het gene ball, but potentially buy the one thats completely without the gene?
