Since I have a Enchi, is a Pastel going to add anything to my group?

Ok, here is the question. I have my male Enchi, who I adore, and I have the male Pastel that I got in trade a few months back. What I was wondering, is that since I have the Enchi, and plan to breed him this year, would the pastel really bring anything to my group, or does the Enchi cover that? If that makes sense.

How would an Enchi do the same thing as a Pastel? They are very different morphs.

Well from a value standpoint ...I'd rather produce a clutch of Enchis rather than a clutch of pastels,
I'd even take a single sired clutch of just Enchis over a double sired clutch of Enchis and Pastels.
As I said thats from a value standpoint, if your trying to make a specific combo like a bumble bee then a pastel would be required, but if your just wondering which male gives the best bang for your buck it would be the Enchi In my opinion.
If your asking are they the same morph, No they aren't, they both have different supers, and both make different combos.

IMO the BOTH genes should be a part of any breeding group.

Very true, I guess with the combo's I have seen the Enchi in it seem better than the combo's I have seen with the Pastels, but they seem to both have nice colors. So I wasn't sure having a male pastel was good, or if I should get a female instead. Sorry if the question is confusing, not sure how to say what I am wanting to thinking and trying to figure out. lol.

Yea most people who have pastel in their collection generally opt to have it female rather than male, cause once you produce a another male combo with pastel in it, the original male pastel becomes obsolete in a way. With female pastels , or female morphs of any kind its takes a while before one would give up a breeder sized morph female , unless they are just constantly pumping out multi gene babies.

You probably need more females period, so that should inform your decision as well.

It's always a smart idea to be female heavy.

Right now I have 4 males and 3 females, so I am wanting to get more females, but only have so much space. The pastel was a trade, I wasn't sure If I was going to keep him when I got him, so now that I know he is eating well and has a bit more weight on him, I am trying to decide if he would be an benefit to my group or if a female would be better. I am thinking a female might be better. Thanks.
