So some smart person that came over the other day borrowed a phone charger to plug in their phone. They plugged it into the outlet by the couch so they wouldn't have to be without their precious phone for an hour, which also happens to be the outlet our mini-freezer is plugged into.

The one that had close to 5 months worth of rats/mice in it.

Which were a warm, nasty-smelling, bloody surprise I found in there today when I went to feed the (very hungry) worms.


SO. Now I gotta pay for those $6 things from Petsmart or wherever until I can get the money to go to the reptile expo (which means I'll have to take a day off work too >:c ), pay for admission, pay for a whole new supply of feeders, and the gas for the 2-hour round trip. All when I'm just scraping by with money because I had to start a new job. UGH.

I hate stupid selfish People had a similar issue once with my wifes friend and no she did not offer to pay for the wasted rodents either

So they unplugged it... and then didn't plug it back in, right? Because a freezer should be fine for an hour unplugged.

I'd never unplug ANYTHING in someone's house. Never know when it might be something that will reset and need to be reprogrammed in these days. Inconsiderate and you should be telling them they owe you for the rodents. If I did something like that accidentally, I would offer to pay if I was told about it.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be running through their house destroying things. Prancing around and breaking light bulbs, streaming toilet paper up and down the halls, and flushing towels down the toilet. All while humming a beautiful melody and skipping merrily. But I am also not very sane. I applaud you for your self restraint!

We could start a club. Great minds and all that. I had something similar when I went away for a few days to my Mums... I fed Pretzel before I left, made sure she ate it and then went off to Mumsies...

Came back and found that my interfering family member had decided to go into my room, move all my snake supplies around AND messed with the wiring because it wasn't "tidy" enough for them. In messing with the wires they unplugged everything and didnt plug it back in.The wiring had been fiddled with the day I went away.

To say I was angry was an understatement. I went off on a huge rant about it, yelling and all sorts and then made sure the person in question knew that they would be paying for any vet bills to come up if I had to take her to the vet, and that if worse happened I would make sure they knew how serious it was. I also said they might want to watch when their precious computer was updating because i'd have no problem going in and having a play around with buttons and wires -that really annoyed them. But yes, some people are inconsiderate and when I said "Pretz has been with no heat for three days, DO YOU understand how bad that is?!" - I got a shrug and:

"She'll get over it."



Really hope it's not too harsh on your bank account, and the person in question helps or pays for all.

X10 what everyone else is saying. Just tell them how much money you lost in rodents, and have them pay for that... You could buy rodents online but it normally takes a week or 2 for you to get them. That's fine since you could just skip a meal and feed all your worms when you get the rodents .

I've been watching a ton of TV judges (), and I've seen people go to court for much less .
