What are you using for an incubator, and does it have a fan?
I'm thawing the rat right now, shes always been great on f/t so hopefully I wont have to feed her live, its worth a try.
I'm using my homemade stand up display fridge I put together the other day. Yes I have a fan, its the black thing on the top shelf on the left. (I didnt have the tools to mount it on the ceiling of the fridge right away.)

I'm not sure if its the thermostat that is doing it, or if my thermometers are dumb or what...
But my probe is in the egg box, and I had it set to 88 but it wouldnt get warm enough in the box.
So I turned it up to 91 and according to my probe thats what it is, but according to my thermometers its 88 in the box...it has been holding pretty steady for now from what I can tell.
Humidity is at 97%, thats not too high is it?

Bleh, yeah it still fluctuates...everytime I go check it its anwhere from 87-89. That means its changing in temps multiple times in an hour...I dont really like that. does anyone have any input on the matter? Im using a johnson controls thermostat which I hate but its all the had available. I could switch it with my VE-300 today though, which im very tempted to do.

maybe put some loose water bottles beside the shoe box. help stabilize more. lots of people use that press and seal to keep all heat from escaping. not sure if you've tried that yet.

I'm going to switch out my thermostats and see what comes of that.
It just should'nt change THAT much that often...maybe I'll try different thermometers too.

Yeah I switched thermostats and there is no fluctuation in temps. Gotta love a good VE thermostat.
