    Candled my eggs tonight

As I had thought, one of the 9 in the Mystery clutch is a dud. No veins and showing the first signs of decay. 8 out of 9 isn't bad I guess. All the other eggs from both clutches showed good veins. One we could even see what looked like a tiny embryo with a little head.

Hopefully they all make it full term.

Mason, congrats one your first couple clutches and good eggs. I have been following your posts. Real cliff hanger. I was riveted like reading a crime novel, waiting to hear that you finally had eggs. My daughter is going through this for the first time too.The female just ovulated on the 16th so it is a ways out yet, but looking good. Time to start building an incubator.

I am not extremely handy, but I have found some great posts on this site with some help from Deborah. There is just enough information to make me think I can pull it off. At least I have some time to build and test yet. Btw, did you get to the central Georgia show and how does it compare to the Atlanta show if you been to both? We are up in Gwinnett County.

Good luck with the odds gods and hope you hit some of what you are looking for.

Sorry to hear about the bad egg. That shoots my prediction in the foot...I was calling for nine to hatch. Fingers crossed for the rest!

Whats amazing is that as the embryo matures you can actually see the baby snake wiggle inside of the egg.. amazes me every single time!! congrats on the clutch!
