high contrast JCP
Who has banded JCPs? non "muddied" black and gold banded JCPs?

My Carpet isn't a pure Jungle, he is 75% coastal, 25% Jungle according to his parents (don't know further back than that)
He has a banded pattern that is almost perfect. There are only 2-3 spots that aren't banded
His colors are more from his coastal blood than his Jungle blood, but I figured I would post him anyway

He is currently 46 inches long.

The people over at http://www.moreliapythons.com/ might be able to help you. Almost all of the pure JCP I have seen have that muddied affect, some more than others. Best of luck in your search, they are great snakes to keep!

Pure JCP are very muddy, it's not banded. Banding is from selective breeding by picking the best looking snakes and breeding them to the best looking snakes. That being said . . .

My young male has the "preferred" striping and comes from VPI background, one of the most traceable lines to wild caught.

Both my females show the more traditional wild pattern, but not much variation in coloration yet, strong blacks though. They also both have very true to sub-species Jungle head patterns (Skull with Cross bones)

As opposed to my pure coastals, who have their true to sub-species head pattern

And for the sake of comparison, a higher% Irian Jaya (Papau New Guinie) Jag, 75% with 25% Coastal influence.
