Question about caramel albinos and deserts!

I know caramels have a kinking issue, but has anyone figured out a resolution for it yet? I had heard something about lower temps and het to visual. Next the Desert. Has there been success with the female desert laying viable eggs?

Caramels have been out crossed enough now that kinking is not the issue it once was. Also, some of the newer lines are kink free.

As for Desert females, if anyone has gotten one to successfully lay and produce a clutch off eggs, they are being awfully quiet about it...I mean like CIA, five point palm exploding heart trick, quiet.

Re: Question about caramel albinos and deserts!

Lots of people saying they "know somebody" who has had a desert female lay viable eggs. If it were me, I'd have pictures and video out there to document it, because desert prices have really taken a dive since it started. Shame, they're such a nice looking morph too.

Nope, no proof that they lay good eggs.

The Kinking in Caramels is not an inbreeding issues...It's a flaw linked to the actual Caramel gene...It can't be out crossed... Caramels kink now just as much as ever...Also there are no lines of Caramel Albino that are Kink Free...

Caramel females also have a very low fertility rate.

A question I had concerning the desert rumor: does it effect the fertility of its combos? Like does a female desert spider lay viable eggs? Or is it just the base morph desert female that has this "rumored" defect?

Doesn't matter how many ohter genes you stack on it...Anything with the Desert gene in it is affected...

I was new to the wobble with the spider when I got mine, now the kink...oh man. what the heck is that?

anyone know why the desert's have this issue? this is new to me as well, and seems to be saving me time investing in a female if this is something that no one has had any luck with.

Just making sure the facts are out there for potential buyers...Caramels have the Double Whammy with the Kinking and Female Fertility issue...

There are Ultramels and Criders that are similar to Caramel Albinos...They do not produce Kinked animals...They are not Compatible with the Caramel Albinos though...They have also not been proven to be compatible with each other.
