Day 63.. Pics and lots of Questions..

ANnoyingly i emailed some pics to my work computer but it wont let me post them, ill have to do these tonight.

I had a clutch of 11 eggs which i cut on day 58... on day 61 i cut the film sacks. This morning i have around 7 eggs with little noses poking out of the fluid (im assuming they will stay like this until they have absorbed the yolk)
They have around 1.5cm of yolk left to absorb, is this about right?

I also have one with the yolk sack rapped around its body which i cannot seem to remove. This is the only one that has stuck its head fully out of the shell , what do you recommmend for getting the yolk untangled? Is there a chance it could happen on its own?

I also have an egg white a huge white glossy clear ball at the bottom of the egg?

Does the third pic look like normal development for day 63.

Lastly , i have another one who hasnt turned round in the egg at all and after i had a check inside this morning i can see that it hasnt absorbed most of its yolk. I have been doing some research on the correct method of tying of etc but how do i remove her from the egg?

    Sorry for all the questions

The white glossy thing looks like you could have had twins but the egg didn't develop right. I'm not sure about the other stuff. I would worry about the one that has the cord wrapped around it though. I know I have seen a couple threads where they took the baby and the yolk sac out of the egg and put them in their own deli cup with wet paper towels.

Ahh the joys of hatching babies in captivity. It seems like you almost have to deal with wrapped up yolks yearly if you ask me. I would give it a day or so more and correct the issue if neccessary. There are a couple different ways to deal with it. First of you could pull the baby and the yolk out and untie them just like you would a knot being extremely careful not to rip the umbilicle off the baby or the yolk off the umbilicle. Put them in a tub with sopping wet paper towels in the incubator, kinda like a warm ICU for the lil guy. The second way would be to take some unscented/unflovered dental floss and tie the umbilicle off just down from the babies belly and cut the yolk away after the dental floss(kinda like a tourniquet). If at all possible you want the baby to absorb that yolk as it is the life system of the new baby. If you end up cutting the yolk away be prepared to force/assist feed that baby within a day or two of it emerging or it could pass, or worse off kink up due to lack of nourishment. Good luck and keep us posted.
    Mike
