    Smile Recommend my 2nd BP!

So samantha, my normal, is settling in nicely. i moved her tank to my walk in closet (who needs clothes anyways) and its much easier to control temps in the smaller room.

I want to get another bp, some type of morph, but haven't really decided yet. id like to get a male, so a couple of years down the road i can breed them.

Being somewhat new to this, and not really THAT ambitious about breeding anytime soon, right now im just looking at the second male as a pet, so im not using racks or anything, just going to get another nice tank with all the basics and some pretty decorations.

ANYWAYS...any suggestions on fun looking morphs, and more importantly, WHERE should i get them? i bought samantha in a local pet store, but for any type of morph im obviously going to have to go online. i dont know of ANY breeders in TN, and i couldn't find anything about upcoming shows. The only morph BPs i found online were already full grown males. I want a baby

What would you guys recommend, as far as morph, AND place to buy?

I would stick with co-dominate morphs as they are faster to produce and much less complicated genetically.

As for the exact morph that is really up to you and your personal taste.

I would suggest these but without knowing your price range it is difficult.

    Pastel

    Spider

    BEL complex (Mojave/lesser/butter)

    Black pastel or cinnamon.

As for breeders I would stick with reputable breeders for your first morph

Any of these will be fine:

0.1 Pastel 100% Het Clown Ball Python (Hestia)
    1.0 Coastal/Jungle Carpet Python (Shagrath)
    0.1 Dumeril's Boa (Nergal)

    0.1 Bearded Dragon (Gaius)

    1.0 Siberian Husky (Picard)
    0.1 German Shepherd/Lab Mix (Jadzia)

There are several breeders in TN.

I have dealt with a few times and can personally recommend this gentleman if you live anywhere near Nashville.

Lots of baby BP mophs will be hatching from now until the latter part of the summer. I've always found August to be a great month for picking up a new addition. Great selection and usually good prices.

My advise would be to go here:

Pick a morph you like, and start to save toward that goal

    Re: Recommend my 2nd BP!

Ok...so...i know i said i was gonna wait to get my 2nd bp....but fate had other plans for me i guess....

One of my neighbors is moving, and he offered to let me take his ball python, plus cage, plus extra frozen mice....FOR FREE

Its a normal female, pretty good size, and no problems eating (she ate right in front of me)

My neighbor works alot though, so he has had almost zero handling time with her, shes really really shy. Not aggressive at all, but just seems scared of people.

HOWEVER, it is so super cute when she balls up, because she always peeks her head out from underneath herself to see if "the big scary monster" left yet.

    Will post pics later
