Traveling with bp

So, the only reptile specialized vets live in Edmonton, about 45 mins from where I live. I'm hoping to get my boy probed, as I'm way too nervous to pop him myself.

So my question would be:

What's the best way to go about getting him there. I've heard water bottles and heating pads.

What do you suggest?

As long as the temps in the car don't drop below the 70's, I personally think he should be fine for a 45 minute drive (and provided the vet's office is also a moderate temperature, he should be fine for the whole outing). Just turn a pillow case inside out, slip him in, and knot off the end, and you should be good to go.

Put him in a pillowcase or a small storage tub. You can preheat the case/tub before you put your snake in. You can also use warm water bottles or a heat pack. But as long as it's not too cold, you don't really need it. Lots of balls go hours without heat during expos and shows. A car ride to your vet probably won't be as bad.

Put the snake in a clean pillow case.
Put the pillow case in a small RubberMade tub with a hand towel lining the bottom.
Slip a chemical heat pack under the hand towel.
Place the lid on the tub.
Travel to your destination.
