Talking Don't Cry For Me Argentina...BCO

Even though the Raleigh show this weekend was smaller than usual, I had a great time. I made it home with 1 new snake, 3 Boaphile 421's, and 1 massive hangover (thanks to Limey). Two of the snakes on my wish list were there. An Angolan python and an Argentine boa. While I may have held and interacted with the Angolan, I bonded with the Argentine, who let me rub the top of his head for almost 30 minutes while I held him. I think he went to sleep. My decision was made and I brought home a 3 year old Argentine Boa Constrictor Occidentalis (BCO), and named him Chaiten.

The obligatory mustache and goatee shot...

    His chocolate belly...

I am amazed at how mellow he is, but that may change after he settles in...
I was thinking of naming him Cocoa or Mocha, but that wouldn't be keeping with my theme...

Huge congrats!!! I adore my Argentine - he is a puppy dog! Your's looks fantastic - and I love the name! He's nice and dark. Very striking....

An Angolan Python (a pair actually) is high up on my wish list too!

Nice snake, i really like the pics of him against that table. Cool contrast it creates

EDIT: also im guessing the naming theme is mountains or peaks? I recognize a few of the names.

You are close. I named them all after volcanoes. I tried, where possible, to name them after volcanoes in, or near, their home ranges. However, Vesuvius and Tambora, were just too good to pass up.
If I ever get any females, my list of names are Caldera, Kilauea, Mauna Loa, St. Helen, and Etna. I just wanted to be different...
