    Tough Mudder VT

So its less than 2 weeks until i go through yet another round of self-hate and punishment, and I was curious, who else is participating from BP.net?

Also has anyone else out there participated in the tough mudder or similar events in their respective areas?

I haven't participated yet, but my BF and I are going to support some friends this weekend at one! I'll do one eventually, found out about this one too late.

So how were the events for you what was your favorite parts and least favorite? and where were they held? example VT is at mount snow and you go up and down a ski sloop many many many...... many painful times and tristate is at raceway park NJ.

The one in Va Beach was held at Mt. Trashmore:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Trashmore_Park

It was run up and down the side of the hills and through multiple man made mud pits and bogs.

Worst part was the transistion into the low crawl though the mud pits. I had no real issues with the mud pits themselves, and am no stranger to low crawling, but the transition area was a choke point for the runners. You had to come to a complete stop and wait for your turn to do the low crawl.

It got better toward the middle and end of the race when it thinned out a bit.

The best part was after the race when a large number of the women who particpated decided to get the mud hosed off by the Va Beach Fire Department...

you guys are lucky(at least in my book) Mount snow the first thing they make us do is run 2mile straight up the mountain from base to summit. and its up one of the ski trails so just imagine the angle...

So what would you guys say is/was the worst obstacle or part of doing a tough mudder? I vote Berlin walls and just the shear amount of uphill battles for the VT one.
