Housing Bredli together with JCP?

i recently picked up a 4x2x2 enclosure and was wondering if it were possible to house a bredli and a jcp together. i really want one of each. i havent seen much discussion on housing separate species together though i'm aware generally it's not highly recommended. in the past
i have housed bps together without issue.

it is not recommended to house the same species together much less different species or sub species. IMO it is just asking for problems.

I think your going to get a lot of "I dont recommend it" answers here, including myself. Snakes often stress out with other snakes company even if they look comfortable they might not be. Just because youve done it before doesnt mean it should always be done. There is also a risk of spreading disease to the other. Anyway the choice is yours but this is my recommendation.

You might stress your snakes out (can very much impact their immune system).

You might experience male-male combat.

You might experience mating if male-female.

You might experience dominance behaviors.

Feeding can be tricky, especially with food-active snakes such as carpets and bredlis.

I provide different husbandry for various types of carpet pythons (including bredlis).

If you housed two females together, would there be a chance that they would live for a decade or two and be healthy? Sure, but there are risks.

At the very least, a 4x2x2 is not large enough for two adults to live in all year long. It's suitable for a lone adult, or a pair only when introduced for mating.

Not a good idea to house snakes together . Housing them together raises possible risks that would never come into play if they are housed separately. You could potentially house two snakes together and never have an issue but you could also house two snakes together and one or both could get sick, health issues or even die as a result. A result that could easily be avoided by just buying two enclosures. If you can't afford or have the space for two enclosures just don't be selfish and only buy one snake until you are capable of responsibly have both.
