To Breeders of Banned Snakes
Since the interstate transport of Burmese, Retics, and Rock has been illegal for the last months or so, how has it affected your business?
I still see tons of ads on KS. I don't know what the pricing was like before so I can't tell if it's any different.
Thanks.

Seems like a lot of the shops I talk to about it are ignorant as to what is actually going on. They explained to me that they could sell to Louisiana and Texas when I asked about their selling and transporting of Burmese, they said the ban only prohibited importing snakes into the US . . . I Lol'd at their ignorance.
In my opinion, it shouldn't be a huge hit for most breeders. A lot of people try to sell within their state, and most the breeders in Texas, have been soley trasnporting snakes to various shops within the state for a while in preperation for the ban. It's a good thing for the snakes in some ways, less travel / shipping stress, but it will make the hobby take a hit on the species. I haven't noticed a drop in Anny prices yet, but Burmese, Indian, and African Rock prices have all dropped. Heck, there was a local advertisement selling 2 Burmese, both granites, 6 ft and 7ft long for $150 in state. That's a huge hit compared to what they use to go for. Anny's locally are still going for a nice price, more in fact. Not too many breeders of Green Anacondas in this area, in fact I know of only one within 200 miles of myself.
Just my thoughts. . .
