What do you do for a living?

I am sitting at work on my lunch break and was wondering what types of jobs everyone else here has. I notice alot of people have the abilility to post during the day so it just got me thinking. I will start it off.

I am a full time college student and I work part time at a civil engineering consulting firm. Fun stuff. All I do at work is research information and maps, estimate project costs and compose grants for parishes and cities. I am working on a grant for a boat launch and parking lot for access to a cutoff lake right now.

I'm a forensic investigator in a large county in South Carolina. Kinda like what you see on 'CSI' (if you watch that kind of thing)!

I'm a tour guide/snake handler at Serpent Safari reptile zoo. It can be a cool job for sure, but it's not all fun either. (what job is)

I just wish I was a zookeeper there instead.

PS- Please forego the snake handling jokes. I'm not that kind of preacher. : )

Re: What do you do for a living?

i am the art director/lead web designer at an art college. it used to be more fun before they transferred all of the other designers into different departments and now i am the art director/ONLY web designer in my department. talk about a nice fat workload. going home to my critters each night keeps me sane though.

I used to work as a vet tech and as a wildlife rehabitator, but I've had to put that aside and now work 24/7 as a stay at home mom. Can't wait till the little critters both hit kindergarten!

Re: What do you do for a living?

I am a "full timer co-op". I was supposed to graduate in December and ended up repeating an EE Elective class It really sucks that it was an elective.

I am working full time for the company I was supposed to go on full time with, and taking my last class over....hopefully I'll pass this time. Class is not going well. Bleh.

I'm still making co-op pay, but I've got my own permanent desk. I ended up picking the Applied Research Department, for those of you that wondered I know the people better in here, and the projects change more often.

So technically, I'm still a co-op. After that I think my offical title is something like Research Engineer. After I acutally graduate I'll have a bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
Check out my gallery! www.schlyne.deviantart.com I am not really active on forums anymore, but I am on facebook.
