    Corrugated wrap as substrate? Thoughts?

Saw this on the reptile report this morning. Looks good to me as long the the edges aren't super sharp. What are your thoughts?

I use corrugated wrap, works great.

It is as easy to clean as any other paper based substrate, but hold up better and is more absorbent.

I have been considering switching from paper towels to corrugated wrap myself over the past few months. The only thing that has stopped me so far is that you seem to have to order in bulk, and the rolls look pretty big. I just don't know where to store the extra since my snake room is almost at max capacity as is...

I think it looks REALLY nice. MUCH nicer than just plain white paper towels...

I like it but theres no way its easier than newspaper. It takes alot of work to get the sheets prepared for the tanks. Unless its super common for boas to poop along the walls like that i dont see why newspaper would work just as well. Every once in awhile you may have to do a little scrubbing, but id rather do that than have to take the time to prepare all those sheets. Plus theres leftover scraps which arent really useable for the tanks at least.

I currently use newpaper, but I've wanted to try the wrap.
My issue with it, like others, is buying it in bulk. I too have no space to store it. I share an apartment with 3 others and my storage area is to the max.

Yeah storage would be an issue...

My main deal would be that it's one solid piece so if the able goes in the back corner you have to pull the whole thing. At lease with paper towels of newspaper you can do the tank in sections. I guess you could do it in sections with the wrap too but that looks like it would add a lot of time to an already time consuming possess...

+1 I don't see a benefit that would out weight the additional effort and, I'd imagine, cost difference from newspaper.

Lol, I pay a little cause I don't normally subscribe and I prefer clean paper that I get at uhaul, but I'd still think that's cheaper than buying the corrugated.
