    Modify to rack?

Would this work for a rack? I was going to use back heat. There's shelves in between the tubs. They are about the size of 28 qts. They are at Wally world for 30 bucks.

No these will not work. they are impossible to heat, and are not secure at all. (the sides and back have open space big enough for a snake to get out.

I was going to put thin panels on the side.

Trust me they aren't worth it, many people have tried... many people have later failed. (Including me)

Stay away from these. They do not work. Like said before many people try with these and all fail. Don't even waste your time and money. Try CL they seem to always have some used ones in every area. Good Luck

Everyone likes to rip on glass tanks, but I've got Quetzal in one and have no issues with keeping his warm and humid as long as I keep a towel over 90% of his lid and refresh the substrate weekly (or more if he's shedding), and I haven't even insulated the sides. Granted it was a warm winter, so perhaps just the 80+F ambient in my apartment from the heating made it easier for me. Honestly, if people are telling you to steer clear of something that they haven't made work and people have made glass tanks work, I think that a sign

use the heavy duty storage shelves from lowes or home depot they can hold two side by side 32 qt tubs or 4 15 qt tubs and you can cut the plastic tubes down to make the shelves to the size tubs you have to keep the lids on the tubs heres a pic its about 5 shelveshttp://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t394/exoticomorphs/th_SANY1087.jpg also its about 50 buck and you can use 6 6qts across it the measurments are 72 high before i cut them down 32 long and 18 deep they work great
