    Re: leopard gecko egg incubation

90 degrees is the right temp for males(88-90 degrees). I do have one question, is that the temp in the incubator or in the container you are going to put the eggs in? Because I have noticed over the years that the temp in the container can some time be a few degrees lower the the temp in the incubator. I have also noticed noticed that the incubation medium in my male incubator will dry up faster than in my female incubator. So keep an eye on the temps in your container, the humidity(around 60-80%), and the wetness of your incubation medium(just wet enough theft it clumps up when squeazed and no water drips out). Hope this helps and good luck with your first egg.

I always incubated mine at 84-86 degrees, but that was to give me a male/female split. I personally can't see why you would want to incubate for males, but that decision is up to you.

It's been a while since I incubated leopard geckos eggs but I remember there is a fine line between the upper temp for males and getting a "hot" female which is supposedly an infertile and ill-tempered female. Males were incubated at 88-89 to try avoid the boundary line. At least, this was the incubation standards about 15 years ago as I remember so it may be different now.
