Dad Hom,e From Hosptial
After all the test came back negative for stroke, they let my Dad go home yesterday. He's not supposed to drive for at least 6 months. He's not at all happy about that. He's very stubborn. So we took his keys. He tried to fix some blinds last night but Mom called me before he tried anything stupid. So hopefully he'll behave and call for help when he needs something.
Just glad he's still with us.

Glad to hear, my step-dad was just as stubborn.

Re: Dad Hom,e From Hosptial
I hear ya about parents. Suddenly us kids have become the parents of our parents.
My parents are in their 80's and are sooo stubborn when it comes to asking for help around the house. I still catch my 84 yr old mother climbing up on a stool to dust a shelf - I tell her all the time that if you fall it will be very very bad and she just blows me off.
You just can't get thru to them. We all worry about our parents like we do our own kids now.
Glad to hear that your dad is on the mend.

That must be a relief for your family. I'm glad things are going well with your dad and wish him a full and speedy recovery.

My grandparents are the same way. My Pap who can't walk without a cane bought a scooter and tried to ride it last summer. You can imagine how well that went over. I'm actually impressed he managed to come out of it with only a broken foot and a sprained ankle.
Best of wishes to your family for a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear he is home and doing better! Good luck getting him to relax some and accept your help with stuff around the house.

Good to hear he's doing ok. Sucks they took his ability to drive for six months, that can be hard on a guy.
