    Another Incubator Question

Is it the temp in the tubs themselves that needs to be 88-89? The temp is right at the probe but in the tubs it's about 2 degrees lower. So should I bump the tstat up to get the tub temps higher?

Yes you want the tubs to be the magic number of 89. However ball eggs incubate fine at 87 so i wouldnt worry too much

I measure the temp of the tub. I set the thermostat at 91 and it keeps the substrate and egg temps at 90 to 91. I measure the temprature with a temp gun. I think as long as your egg temps stay between 87 to 92 you'll be fine....

Do you have a fan in there, it sounds like you've got some air layering? The lower temp won't hurt your eggs at all, but you're going to have more condensation from the temp differences.

I measure the temps by putting the probe in a tub with eggs.
