The Trek company brand for components is Bontrager. I still have a Bontrager saddle on my training bike and it works pretty well. I have fizik' saddles on my race bike and my single speed.

The trick is to find a saddle that works with your anatomy. It can take some trial and error to select the right one.

Lots of wild comments being thrown around. People need to ride more and complain less.

Anything Cannondale that came out of the box with a made in the USA sticker was made IN the USA.

This change happened very recently. No surprise there. Staying competitive in the market, sadly, means moving production overseas.

Keith is still president of Bontrager Components. His company still makes great parts.

I don't mind the name being on the seat and rims. I put a Schwin seat on it and it helped tremendously. It's a little more padded which will help break in my buttox while I'm on short rides. It's the same dimension as my Bontrager.

Yes they do the job and they're reasonably priced, but "great" is a stretch....they probably come out of the same factory as every other generic part...except for the logo that gets stamped on...wild...

I refuse to even view that forum. Serious issue with moron to reasonable human being ratio on that site.

Bontrager makes a lot of good parts. Can't beat for the price too. I had a carbon bar and a matching aluminum stem and they were amazing. Too bad I don't have that bike anymore. My top 3 fav bike brands are:
    1) trek
    2) norco
    3) giant

Best bang for the bike in my opinion has got to go to giant. They have some amazing price point bikes for the everyday man that are just awesome.

According to Bontrager's website, they're warranties are 1 or 2 years...depending on the item...pretty much the bike industry standard. And the parts are the same quality as almost everyone else's...probably because they are cranked out of the same factories in China as almost everyone elses parts. I have nothing against Bontrager or parts with his name on them, except for the old BCX rims that would fold like a taco if you looked at them wrong. It's just that they are nothing special...although the Bontrager logo is nifty...

Bought this GT bike a couple of weeks ago, and it's really addictive. I haven't had a bike since I was 16, and I'm 33 today, so my butt was also pretty sore, after the first couple of rides

Giant probably has more bikes roaming the planet with someone elses name on them than any other company, ever...I used to have an AC1...loved it...
