Ball Python growth
So I wasn't where to put this post but i figured it would be fine here, anyways I was wondering how fast ball pythons gain weight? I heard they grew about a foot a year for the first couple of years, but say my ball python eats almost every meal for that year how fast will it gain weight. (lets say its 200g when I get it, I have not yet got my snakes but will be within 2 months)

Well they all grow at their own rate so there is no set rule. generally I see a 50-100 gram weight gain per month but that is not a hard rule.

Thanks again Serpent Merchant, I feel like you are always the first to answer on a post no matter what it is about haha. Also about how often do you think I should feed a juvenile, once a week or should i go to once every 5 days?

I feed my young guys every 4 days until they weigh 600 grams. Once they hit 600 grams I feed them every 8 days

It really depends. I've had some females barely hit 500 grams at a year old, likewise I've had some females hit almost 1,500 grams in a year. I would say with a normal 10-15% body weight meal every 5-7 day feeding schedule you can expect give or take about 1,000 grams for a female at a year old. Males, at least in my experience, grow a bit slower and are generally lankier/leaner. We don't really go to any special lengths to bulk our males up like we would our females.
