Honestly I really prefer boas. I had a wonderful albino male that would get himself all wrapped up around my arm and just chill out while I did computer stuff. The balls are always trying to find a place to hide.

As others have said, depends on the individual snake and their disposition at the time of handling. Sometimes my bps are a little restless when I take them out and other times they get themselves comfortable and then lay there and fall asleep. And I actually had my rainbow boa curl up on my hand for quite a while the other day, but that's a rare occurrence
Anyway, while I definitely prefer bps, I still really enjoy handling my rainbow boa and my colubrids because it is more of a challenge and allows me to interact with them more. But I certainly wouldn't call bps "boring." Sometimes it's nice to just have a snake chilling with you
