I stand by my previous statement. You have shown that you have a good eye for picking very nice ball pythons. Just believe in it and let your confidence grow from there.

Even if every person you asked doesn't like a particular animal. It should not effect how you feel about it what so ever.
If every person in the world said Mila kunis is ugly would that stop me from thinking other wise? Hell no! You should take the same approach to your animals. If you think it's a good looking snake, then it is!

Ahah i am just way more sensitive to animals. I could care less if anyone called me ugly. But i get all sad and butthurt with my babies.
Though that gave me a laugh.

Re: I am a little offended.

The way I see it...when you go through life you're always going to get comments from both sides of an issue. You've gotten a lot of very sincere compliments on those snakes (and your taste in snakes in general) from some good people who know what they are talking about.

And you've gotten a few "meh" comments from folks who probably don't know an axanthic ball python from a boa constrictor.

Where you CHOOSE to focus your attentions will determine how pleasant your life can be. Focus on the positives and you CAN build that self confidence. Focus on the negatives and stay mired in self-doubt. It's up to you. I think you might be surprised at how quickly that self confidence can grow if you really do choose to focus on the right things.

IMO, yes you're being a baby.

If you post a picture, you're going to get opinions. Not all the opinions will agree it's the best snake ever. The comments didn't say "That's the ugliest axanthic ever!" It just said they thought it should be slightly different in their expectations.

It doesn't mean your snake is ugly, or that their opinion is correct, or that your snake isn't a spectacular example of a axanthic. If you like it, then why are you worried about what anyone else thinks? If you are that sensitive about one person not praising your snake to the nines, don't post any pictures.

I have a couple of the most awesome cinnamons ever. I've posted pics and had people say "Oh I prefer blah-blah instead of that type of cinny... Well I don't like that marking on a cinny..." and the like. It doesn't diminish my opinion of the snakes in the least.

Also, when you post a picture of a snake on a forum where it's breeders and keepers, you don't have that "rule of polite behavior" where if you 'can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all'. If you post a snake on somewhere like Facebook, then it's more likely that people will only post nice things(unless you have one of those morons who have to post "Kill it Ewww!"). But on a forum that deals with breeding, it's a bit more harsh, because people are considering it in the form of what traits it will pass on, not just "is it pretty and nice". So if someone really does think the color isn't Great!, they might post their opinion to balance all the "Awesome!" posts, because they do feel the color isn't what it could be(even if it's just a opinion).

Toughen up and enjoy those gorgeous snakes! You know it's a beautiful animal so have some confidence in your animals, if not in your own judgement! And post more pictures here!

I just want to tell you that I completely understand where you're coming from. I have issues with self-confidence too. It is a hard thing to overcome - much harder than most people think. But I also completely agree with everything Judy (JLC) has said. She really hit the nail on the head.

I'd like to add that I think it's harder to hear negative remarks about your pet than nearly anything else. Someone can say something about me and I'll blow it off. But if someone says something negative about my dogs or my snakes, well, look out!

I also agree that you have some very nice BPs there and you should most definitely be proud of them - no matter what anyone else says.

I know that, to me, my snakes are gorgeous And I'm proud to show them off, in pictures or in real life. Grant and I laugh in the face of the "Eurrrrgh!" comments we get all the time, because they don't belong to them They're ours and they're lovely Post your pictures, brush off any comments you don't like, but don't be under the impression that evvvvveryone is going to see your snake the way you do

D: Ahah. Like i said, In the beginning. it must be me just being a baby and sad that none snake people cannot see the differences.
Haha that happens all the time with subtle morphs =p. I showed my enchi and calico to some friends that came over, and they said "i can't see the difference between this one and the first one you showed me". That's fine by me, because I can tell the difference from a mile away . I feel good about being able to spot the subtleties. You should too =]. I have fun describing the little traits that make that morph. I was surprised when I had to explain the calico LOL. I personally think your axanthic is AWESOME! Everyone says VPI is the best line, but your TSK is seriously freakn SWEET! I'm definitely not just saying that.. His head is so silver, and he's holding his colors really well at over 300 grams! He's a possible het albino TOO! blah! Sweetness

I think all the photos you posted in that thread you linked are supreme examples of each .
