Rack System Condensation

Since converting to a rack for my royals last friday, I have been waking in the morning to find a small patch of condensation on the front of the RUB of the bottom draw only, almost trapped inbetween the water dish and the wall of the RUB. Is this common in racks, or should this be something I should be concerned about, the patch is only ever roughly about 2cm long and about half a cm wide! Any responses/reconmendations are greatly appreciated!

Try running a fan in the room to balance out temps between the floor and the ceiling.

You might need to add a few holes to the tub. Nothing to really worry about

As long as your humidity in the tub it within tolerance, it's nothing to worry about. Sounds like the condensation is localized to a small area around your water bowl. That's not uncommon.

If its just next to the water bowl its not a big deal. Plus the size of the spot is really small. If you wake up and the whole tub has condensation covering the walls then Id be worried lol

Smaller water bowls, more ventilation in the tubs or a warmer room. One or a combination will be the answer to stopping condensation. We get condensation from ambient humidity and temp changes warm to cool. If the room is cool condensation will form on the cool side end. If there is too much RH in the tub and you have a proper gradient you will also get condensation. Ventilation will vent out unwanted RH and equilize temps, Smaller bowl drops RH warmer room increases the point where RH condenses.

Thank you too everyone for your quick responses, as slim hit the nail on the head though it is purely localised to the side of the water bowl! I'm guessing a couple more holes is going to be the best way to go here, I was just wondering if something as simple as moving the water bowl away from the side of the RUB would help at all either!?

I live in GA where there's no such thing as low humidity. I've had condensation on all my racks since I started using them. No big deal for me.

It's natural for temps near the floor to be lower than higher up. Hot air rises they say. put a thermo/hygrometer in there. If the temps and humidity are fine then don't worry about it.
