Question about genetics
I have a large WC volta normal bp and I'm going to breed her to a lesser male. Will any of the offsprings get the volta genetics (giant size).

Volta get up to over 8000 grams I have been told. I have a 3000gram female. She is about 5 ft long and still growing

Ive heard of some WC females from the northern part of bp's range getting up to 5000gms... But 8,000gms for a bp???

While there is some locale of ball pythons that gets quite large, never herd 8k gram ball python, if I am wrong some post some info. Google only reviled a craigslist post making the claim you are.

"Volta" is the locale of a population of large BP. They are also referred to as Sub-Saharan Giants.
Mike Wilbanks ( Constrictors Unlimited) recently posted on his FB page a 10k female. Just because you can't find it on google does not mean they do not exist!
To the OP because the offspring get genes from both patents I would say yes it may contribute to some large offspring. They could also take more after the sire and be " normal" sized. I hope this helps, Good Luck.

Unless it's some uber double secret probation project, I don't know why we have to scrape the crusty under belly of the internet for a few pictures.
You'd think we would be able to find pictures of these giants on a web fourm dedicated to ball pythons...wonder where I might find a web site like that?
