ummm....is this a joke? you cant train a snake. so it senses seizures then "jumps" into a carrier? i just dont buy it.

I didn't imply that I "bought" the whole concept but it sure was nice to read something with a postive light on our beloved snakes.

We need all the postive vibes we can get - I'll take it!!!!

This Guy lives 20 minutes from me... and Shelton is an interesting place. While I don't buy the "training" idea, I can certainly see how a snake might pick up on changes in the man's body, as the article puts it, and believe that the snake might react in some way.. by possibly holding on a little tighter. The article is a little misleading too... the boa is not illegal to have or use as a service animal, but because it cannot be officially recognized as a service animal, he does not have the same rights as say... somebody with a service dog or miniature horse, when trying to go to certain public areas. But hey... if it works for him (no matter the science or lack of involved) then who am I to judge?
