Re: Transporting from Nyrtle Beach reptile Expo

I've heard that reptile expos have vendors there that sell the packaging product, or talk to the breeders about shipping, just make sure you ship them at the right time so that they make priority shipping by 10:30 the next day. The expo might also have people that will ship from there. At least it makes since

Ok thanks for the suggestion. I was wondering if i would be able to just purchase the shipping supplies at the show.

I am not positive but I have heard that Ship Your Reptiles has started vending some shows. I don't know if they are just selling shipping supplies or if they are also running a shipping service directly out of the show.

If they are not running a show shipping service, I would still recommend using them online for purchasing your Fed Ex label and following their packaging instructions.

SYR allows you to book a shipment and print a label through their services however the animals are still shipped through FEDEX

Snakes are shipped through FEDEX every day so I am not sure why it would be a bad idea, and FEDEX is the only company that allows snakes shipment.

Contact Ship Your Reptiles and see if they will be offering shipping at that show. Depending on who you buy from, the sellers may ship to you after the show.

You can see the SYR temperature guidelines, along with heat pack and cold pack use, here:

ShipYourReptiles FAQ- Regulating the Temperature of the Package

Typically you would not use a heat pack in August.

We do not have current plans to be shipping from that show. You can do some prep work though in sourcing (or bringing) a proper insulated shipping box and then you can book the shipment either beforehand, bringing the label along with you, or book it at the hotel, and print your label there.

If you pre-book it at home and don't end up using the label, just drop us an email and we can void the label and issue a refund, no problem.

You can drop your package off Monday morning at a FedEx staffed counter, or we could schedule a pickup from the front desk of your hotel.

There are a number of options, contact us if you have any questions!
