Hungry but not eating
Okay, so a couple days ago I tried to feed my bp, Baloo, she was definitely interested even struck at the prey but missed causing me to drop the mouse. I rewarmed it in hot water and tried again but she wouldn't come near it. Thinking that she might be afraid of that mouse I offered a different one. No go, she wouldn't come near it. I left both mice in the cage for about 2 hours but she didn't eat either one. Now 2 days later she's cruizing her cage like she does when she's hungry. Should I try again or wait a few more days?

The strike was more likely a defensive strike telling you to leave me alone.
Wait a week and offer again

Hmmm, it's so frustrating when the little suckers don't eat, and then you're wondering "Is it me? The environment? Are they uncomfortable? HOW DO I MAKE IT BETTER!?"
I always wait a week between failed feeding attempts. I am not by any means experienced in the area, but not eating for a week won't hurt her, and it will give her time to calm down if that's what she needs. I also don't handle unless they're eating with no problem, but that's just a personal policy, don't know if it's actually a necessary one.

You can't hurt your snake by waiting a week. Let it settle, keep handling to a minimun and try again next week.

Yea I know it's not about shedding because she shed about 2wks ago. She did eat last week so I know she's not starving but it is frustrating. As for handling well I don't think I handle her enough. Every time she has an issue I stop handling her but it seems she has issues a lot. lol I'm so new at this that I can't help but blame myself when she acts this way. Anyway, I will wait until the next feeding day and try again. Any other suggestions?
