    Posible pregnant leo

I just got a female leo the other day and I think she may be pregnant. What is the best way to tell? and how long from the time of her getting pregnant to the time she lays her eggs, if she has them?

A trick we learned from the vet (but it works best on albinos) is to take a very, very small amount of rubbing alcohol on the tip of your finger, invert the leo and rub it on her belly. With good room lighting you should be able to see either enlarged ovaries (breeding season) or the egg(s) calcifying. Obviously, be very, very, very careful with the alcohol for both the fact it will cool the leo and you don't want the vapors getting to her.
Mostly Leos and Cresties, but also
1.0 Human (wild caught next door, but taming nicely)

You should be able to just spread her out between two fingers so you stretch her belly out and you should see the big eggs if she I gravid. The great thing about Leo's is they have pretty translucent skin so you'll be able to see eggs really easily. If she is gravid they lay every 25-35 days. So if she is be prepared for more than one clutch layed pretty consistently monthly.
