    Healthy First Ball

    Hey guys,

Got my first ball python yesterday (first snake), haven't named him yet but he is a 4 month old spider with spider/pastel parents. I can't post pictures with my IPad but I will take some good photos in a few days when he is settled in. I'm pretty happy as I've read about (a) snakes don't do well in tanks, and (b) BP's may have issues eating.. This guy took down a meal no problem on his first day in my tank. I fed him a frozen thawed mouse and it took all of 30 seconds for him to grab it! His last meal was on 10 prior with a shed in between.

I'm very happy with my new pet and first snake. Thank you to everyone who answered my questions in preparation!

    Cheers

    SR

Congrats! Tanks aren't my prefered enclosure, but thouands of BP owners make tanks work for them just fine. As long as your BP is eating, sheding, pooping and growing, you're probably doing something right.
