    New boa but has lumps?

I picked up a little red tail boa last night. I wasn't planning on getting him, but I offered a lady $20 for him and she took it. I was planning on getting one more boa in the future, but not this soon. I've named him Emette.

But now I think I might know why. I looked him over last night and didn't see any mites, or other health issues, but when I looked him over today, I saw that he looked impacted? I soaked him for 45 mins, but nothing happened. The masses are REALLY solid, so I'm just wondering if it's something worth seeing the vet over, or if it's just something to keep an eye on.

    Here's some pics:

    And two cute pics:

I know my boa blows up like a balloon because he absolutely refuses to poo until he sheds You sure it's not the same instance? Just due for a good poo?

Congrats on the pick up btw

    Might be!

I'm just not really sure. haha. I'm just going to keep an eye on him and hopefully he just needs to let loose.

I agree, I really wouldn't worry. My boy literally becomes a round sausage because he will not poo until he sheds, or very close to shedding. He's held it in for as long as 4 months once...that was NOT fun to clean but he's nice and "boa shaped" now....glad he feels better

I don't own any BCCs or BCIs or anything, but I know that some of my ball pythons do the same thing mentioned. They hold it FOREVER and then one day you open the bin and it looks like a human has went...not nice!

I really hope that's all his lumpy bum is about!
