    Frogs

What would be a great frog for a beginner? Some one who has very little experience with amphibians, if any at all. My mother showed interest in a bumblebee arrow frog when we were at the reptile store. She thought they were very pretty, as did I, but they are soooo tiny you'd have to feed them fruit flies wouldn't you? I don't like fruit flies at all. I could deal with crickets but I don't think fruit flies, again.

I want to get my mom a nice frog that's really cool, something she can easily take care of. I would help her out but I want her to learn too.

Any ideas of what frog would be the best bet?

    Re: Frogs

I love my bumble bee dart. Super easy to care for and grow fast, he won't be that small very long mine has at least doubled in size in like two months. The fruit flies are easy to deal with because the don't fly and come in a culture cup with food so they continue to reproduce for a while and you just drop some in every few days. I only buy a culture once a month. Plus they are very active and cool to watch

Oh I have dealt with fruit flies before. Really don't like them. They jump out EVERYWHERE! lol I meant I could stick em in the freezer for a couple minutes and stun them but idk. They can't eat like tiiiiny crickets or anything else. I so would love to get my mom what she really liked but I know she would not like the FFF just as much as I don't.

    Re: Frogs

White's tree frogs are good beginner pets. With any frog look for CB ones, as WC's tend to be sickly and die after a short period of time (I say this from experience).
