    My albino cal king didnt react as bad as i thought it would for me handling him the first time. Hes very calm i held him twice already!! Cant wait to post some pics!

    Just handle him regulary and he will tame down really quick, i handle my snakes once or everyother day for a few hours, you just gotta be careful to not "over hold" them, it can stress them out, especially passing him around to friends to hold....and you'll be mad when a friend holds him and he decides to bite and gets thrown across the room lol.

    Colubrids are pretty sketchy, you just have to learn to read the snakes body language (S strike forms and tail rattling) and you'll do great. You MAY get bit eventually but trust me it doesn't hurt. I'd rather get bit by a snake over a dog any day lol.

    your right about the sketchy part if my had moves he gets just alittle scared. other then that hes good. how long do u recomend i handle him for daily? ill try and post some pics tomorow

    I recommend 30mins everyother day. You want him to get used to you while getting used to his environment as well. Once he gets used to everything you can deffinantly extend the handling time more.

    Handling to much in the beginning can cause stress which can potentially lead to medical problems...i know its hard to resist, trust me lol i just got a dumeril boa and iv been dieing to handle her.

    lol yeaah its pretty hard to resist. ive actually have been handleing him everyday now but for 5 min or less. i just feed him a pinkie today he enjoyed it so now i really cant touch him lol
