Another humidity question

So I just threw down some Eco earth because I was having a really hard time getting my humidity above 40% with the carpet I was using. Now the humidity is around 78%. I know it's too high but I just put it down yesterday. I can already see it drying up. Here is the question ...

Is a day or 2 at 78% ish ok ? I'm assuming that a day or 2 or high humidity is fine since when it rains in the wild and afterwards I'm sure it would be 100% humidity but you know what they say about assuming.

Should be dried out shortly and then I can just mist accordingly.

That amount of humidity will not harm your snake.

I had a similar situation when I switched to cypress mulch from aspen. Humidity shot up to 80% for about 6 hours, then dropped back to ~58% over then next day.

X2 My Humidity is a little high 80% for a day or 2 when I change out my Eco Earth then it falls back to 50-60% and hold there pretty easily

My humidity stays close to 80% a lot of the time. As long as the substrate isnt actually wet, high humidity is fine. The problem comes when the high humidity condenses, and then the ground is wet all the time, which is what leads to problems.

High humidity is fine as long as there is good air flow high humidity and low air flow (petri dishes) are never a good idea. 70s are fine as long as there is air moving.
