Why Are Incubators So Hard To Find?

I have found great deals on snakes and racks but I can't find an affordable incubator to save my life. I can't even find on old fridge or wine cooler to convert into one. I have one, maybe to gravid girls. I might just have to let them do it if I don't find something in my budget.

Put an ad in the Wanted section of your local craigslist. I did that when I was thinking about building my own and within 24 hours I had 3 people reply with offers of free to $20 non-working mini-fridges.

Go to a scrap yard or the dump and pick ya out a good stand up freezer. They work the best. Alot easier to convert

Still Air Model Hovabator = $40. Use a good thermostat instead of the wafer thermostat it comes with.

They hold temperatures beautifully. You can pick them up from Big Apple Herp.

With substrate, you can incubate 3 or 4 clutches. Substrateless, you can fit at least 5. They won't be in individual tubs, so mark the eggs with pencil.

Otherwise, do like mentioned above and post a wanted ad on Craigslist. You can also contact local appliance shops and give them your contact info in case something comes in that they would have had to dump.
